I bought a Honda CRV and installed a Comma 2 self driving Dev kit. It was very cool to experience self driving which was effectively competative with Tesla at the time. I then rented out the Car on Turo. Occasionally I would drive Uber/Lyft and show off the self driving capabilities to some very astonished party goers on Friday and Saturday evenings. In the wake of covid used car prices increased and I sold the CRV back to the dealer for more than I bought it for. Between the revenue from Turo, Lyft and Uber + the used vehicle appreciation this project was very profitable.
