Went to South Africa to guage feasability and do structural testing for a Via Ferrata. Via Ferrata translates to “Iron Way” and is effectively a ladder installed onto a cliff. We had to quickly establish a supply chain and vendors to deliver the steel, fabricatoin and installation of the via in a short period of time. We explored the property and established several climbing routes in addition to the via prototype. By chance, we found a clay pot high on a cliff assumed to be for collecting and storing water. We speculated that the pot could be a few hundred years old.
